XUrology of Virginia’s Updated Mask Policy Beginning Monday October 10th , 2022 masks will no longer be mandated for patients and employees at Urology of Virginia facilities. If community transmission reaches high levels again the mask requirement will be reinstated. Further, masks will continue to be required under the following circumstances: 1. Respiratory infection (e.g., those with runny nose, cough, sneeze). 2. Close contact with someone with SARS-CoV-2 infection, for 10 days after their exposure. 3. Reside or work in a facility experiencing a SARS-CoV-2 outbreak (until no new cases have been identified for 14 days). 4. Have otherwise had source control recommended by public health authorities. Individuals might also choose to continue using masks based on personal preference. We will continue to have masks available for patients and employees based on the above circumstances and personal preferences. We understand that this policy change will be welcomed by some and concerning to others.
